Project development
CO2focus is involved in several CDM projects together with our partners. Through collaboration with technology providers and humanitarian organizations, we are developing projects that not only combat global warming, but also help in alleviating the plight of the poorest and vulnerable of our society.
In the Thua-Thien Hue Province of Vietnam Norwegian Church Aid develops a domestic biogas Gold Standard CDM project that utilizes waste from domestic animals, human waste and biomass to produce biogas. CO2focus is the CDM advisor of this project.
In Mwanza City (Tanzania) Arendal Municipality, Aust-Agder County, the Mwanza City Council is together with CO2focus developing a landfill methane capture CDM project. This feasibility study and CDM preparations is financially supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
In Takoradi Ghana Norpalm AS and Norpalm Ghana Ltd are developing an industrial waste water treatment CDM project. An addition to mitigation of GHG the projects also avoid pollution of local streams from industrial effluent. CO2focus is assigned as the CDM advisor and project developer together with the technical advisor Norplan AS.
