We assist with knowledge and support on all climate related topics. We give seminars for customers where environment problems and opportunities are discussed on a general basis and specific for the company and the sector. Everything is linked to climate events with a commercial and political aspect on a national and international level. We also have focus on how the customer can use the climate and environmental efforts to create positive effects within the organisation. Our main goal and focus is to assist the organisation through this voluntary process to reduce the impact of climate change.
The calculation of greenhouse gas emissions is based on the energy consumption in terms of fuel consumption for transportation and heat production, purchased electricity and certain services.CO2focus calculates carbon footprints of companies and organisations. We can also help our customers to calculate a specific product's carbon footprint (Life Cycle Assessment).
We assist our customers in the development of action plans to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The carbon footprint pinpoints the major emission sources. We help the company in setting realistic and tangible goals for their greenhouse gas reductions and the development of a short/long term action plan.
We handle trade and administration of carbon credits for clients according to a fully documented process. This include high quality UN certified carbon credits (CERs) and systems for effective administration. All our clients will receive detailed information about the CDM project involved. The carbon credits used by our clients for carbon offsetting will be retired, removing them from the market. The customer will receive an official cancellation note from the Swiss (FOEN) or the Norwegian (SFT) carbon registry. (For more information, see link CDM projects for offsetting).
All clients going through the entire carbon management process, including offsetting, will receive the CO2focus Climate Certificate. When the greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to net zero, the company will receive the CO2focus Climate Certificate for a product, a service or the entire organisation, allowing them to use the appropriate label in their communication.
Our labels for climate neutrality
If an organisation, company or public service carries the CO2focus Climate Certificate, Climate Neutral, it means that CO2 emissions have been measured for the whole organisation, reductions have been identified, and remaining emissions have been offset. If a product, service or single activity carries the CO2focus Climate Certificate, Climate Partner, Climate Neutral Event or Print etc, it means that same process has been carried out for a certain activity or product.
