Trading carbon credits

CO2focus can manage your carbon credit portfolio in a safe and secure way. If your company is participating in any CDM or JI (Joint Implementation) project or has a surplus of European Emission Allowances (EUA) to sell we can provide you with an access to the European and global carbon market through tailored solutions in order to reach both the complience market and the voluntary market.

Client transaction services

For larger transaction CO2focus can provide a fully regulated escrow services to all clients in order to handle the transaction and avoiding potential delivery failure or credit risks. Through our international network of both complience and voluntary buyers we are able to provide any CDM developer/participant access to the global carbon market.

For smaller volumes CO2focus can purchase volumes directly either for carbon neutrality (retirement) or for resale in the market. It all depends on volume and quality of the carbon credits. CO2focus can also act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers in the market in order to arrange for a bilateral trade. In this case the two parties usually sign a standard European Emission Reduction Purchasing Agreement (ERPA) in order to carry out the deal.

CO2focus uses the Swiss National Emissions Trading Registry in Bern, Switzerland for carbon credit management services and client transactions. A spot delivery and payment cycle takes typically about seven business days.
