CDM project management

CO2focus provides distinctive advisory services on carbon markets and CDM project facilitation focusing on premium greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction projects that also contribute to sustainable development.

CO2focus has the commitment and experience you would expect of an international business focusing entirely on climate change and carbon management services. CO2focus has built up a strong commercial and technical team (partner network) with the know-how needed to carry out projects from the conceptual stage to the sale of carbon credits (Certified Emission Reductions). This includes the early phase of feasibility studies as well as the Project Design Document (PDD), validation and registration of the project, and acting as the focal point towards the CDM Executive Board (CDM EB). If necessary we also manage the sales process of CERs on behalf of the project participants. CO2focus therefore offers the project owner an opportunity to make use of the flexible mechanisms with a minimum of risk. /p>

In order for a project to be approved by the UN (CDM EB) and generate CERs, certain predetermined criteria must be fulfilled, such as:

• The host and investor country's participation in the project is voluntary
• The emissions reductions are real and measurable and the project contribute to sustainable development
• The project would not have been carried out without the financial support from selling emission credits.

The types of projects we support include:

• Landfills to methane and power
• Biomass to methane and power
• Waste water treatment
• Renewable energies such as Hydro, Wind and Solar
